May 28-29, 2018
The „Premodern Korean Studies in Europe” is a conference initiated in 2015 in Paris with the purpose of bringing together researchers from various European universities and research institutes who specialize in premodern Korean studies. This scholarly gathering is an occasion for European koreanists to connect with their colleagues from other institutions, to present their ongoing projects, the outcome of their studies or new research ideas, to propose research topics, initiate projects and create research groups and networks. The presentations will be in English and they include a wide range of disciplinary perspectives on history, literature, religion, art, philosophy, history of ideas and social sciences. The conference is organized by the University of Bucharest and New Europe College and it is hosted by the latter at no. 21, Plantelor Street.
